Discover how Solar Panels can reduce your energy use and increase home value.
Discover how Solar Panels can reduce your energy use and increase home value.
Solar Panels convert sunlight into electricity, harnessing the energy from the sun to power homes, businesses, and even vehicles. They are typically composed of many solar cells made from silicon, which is a semiconductor material.
There are two main types of Solar Panels: photovoltaic (PV) panels, which generate electricity, and Solar Thermal Panels, which are used to heat water.
If you are looking to invest in your home and reduce your electricity bills, you should consider installing Solar Panels.

Take the first step towards a greener, healthier home.
The Solar PV Grant is an incentive from the Government of Ireland to install Solar PV to make your home warmer, healthier and energy efficient. The grant can be accessed through the One Stop Shop and Individual Grants.
Electric Ireland Superhomes is a One Stop Shop which looks after all the key stages of a home energy retrofit, from retrofit design through to project completion and management of SEAI grant funding. Homeowners have the option to include a Solar PV as part of their home energy upgrade.
Grants of up to €2,100 are available. Electric Ireland Superhomes will help manage your grant application and payments.
The Home Energy Upgrade Loan Scheme can also be used to fund Solar PV Panels if they are installed as part of a ‘One Stop Shop’ upgrade.
Grants offered are provided by the Government of Ireland through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).
This grant is available to anyone whose home was built prior to 2021, as long as the home has not previously received grants for the same measure.
