Discover what SEAI Home Energy Grants are available to you to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase your home’s value.
Grants offered are provided by the Government of Ireland through the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) to support your home energy improvements, such as insulation, installing a heat pump, solar panels plus window and door upgrades.
There are three main types of SEAI home energy upgrade grants available for home energy upgrades:
A One Stop Shop looks after all the key stages of a home energy retrofit, from retrofit design through to project completion and management of SEAI Grant funding. At Electric Ireland Superhomes, we engage leading contractors and experienced retrofit specialists to offer you expert guidance through an often-complex process.
Our retrofit specialists aim to provide homeowners with peace of mind, quality assurance, and, when the retrofit is complete, the best home possible. We believe that the best way to achieve a comfortable, healthy and low-carbon home is through a whole house retrofit. In a Superhome, insulation, air-tightness, advanced ventilation and a retrofit specialist carefully designed heating system work perfectly together to deliver the best possible energy system for your home.
Upgrading your home can be done all at once or step by step.
Individual Energy Upgrades can cost less but require you to manage contractors, installation and grants. The SEAI website offers a step-by-step guide.
One Stop Shop provides more grants, including windows, doors, and heat pumps, with full project management. The retrofit is carried in a single installation, minimising disruption. Grants are deducted upfront, with financing advice available for every step.
Compare both options to find the best fit for you.
To be eligible for One Stop Shop grants, your home should be built before 2011 with a starting BER of B3 or lower.
After your retrofit, your home should reach a BER of B2 or higher, with a noticeable boost in energy efficiency.
