Our 7 Step Process
Please note – separate processes apply for the consultancy service and large projects service.
Initial Consultation
Our Retrofit Advisor will schedule an Online Consultation to discuss your home and planned works, timelines and SEAI grant funding available, and explain the next steps.
Home Survey
We review your home, your renovation plans and your energy retrofit options to deliver you a detailed Energy Report. This report includes your projected BER rating when works are complete and outlines the best grants available to you.
Home Energy Report
The Home Energy Report will review your architect's design for compliance with the grant programme and meeting Electric Ireland Superhomes standards. It includes confirmation of the amount of SEAI grant funding sourced for you.
Online Video Call
After your Home Energy Report is emailed to you, we schedule an Online Video Call to go through the report in detail. If you are satisfied with the recommendations in the Home Energy Report, we can then prepare a contract for the retrofit and agree a start date with you.
The Energy Retrofit
We prepare contracts for your retrofit and a programme of works (start date, end date, milestones etc) is agreed with you and the appointed contractor. Works commence.
Project Supervision
Your Retrofit Engineer carries out an interim check on the retrofit works in progress and a detailed final inspection once the project is completed.
Completion
Electric Ireland Superhomes carries out a final inspection on the completed retrofit. There may also be an inspection by SEAI which will also be attended by your Electric Ireland Superhomes Engineer. A final BER is carried out by an Independent Assessor confirming your new BER rating.
